The only time we Indians really give a thought to liquor bottles is
when it is time to sell the empty ones to the kabadi-wala. That’s
because these bottles have pretty much served their purpose once all the
good stuff in it are gone. Well, not for these liquors
listed below. From weapons to bongs to … er, anatomical designs, these
10 bottles are way cooler than the booze they hold. Check them out.
This Nepali rum, shaped like a dagger (called ‘Khukri’ in Nepali) is a
must-have for any connoisseur’s collection. A XXX rum that boasts of
being the ‘taste of Himalayas’, it has a lingering aroma and a hint of
oak wood.
Forget bringing your party host a bottle of wine, Medea Vodka is the
way to go! It has a digital screen that you can program to say any of
the six often used greetings like ‘Congratulations’ or ‘I Love You’ or
‘Happy New Year’. Now, isn’t that just the coolest drink ever?
What is better than a bottle of tequila? The correct answer is: a
bottle of two tequilas! In this uniquely designed bottle are two
chambers with two varieties of tequila - 100% Blue Agave Select Barrel
Reserve Anejo (inner) and 100 per cent Blue Agave Reposado (outer). For
those who didn’t know, blue agave is the base ingredient of tequila.
A work of pure genius by entrepreneur Jimi Beach, this bottle of
vodka is just the thing that weed smokers would buy. Sleek and artistic,
people actually use this bottle as a bong long after all the vodka is
gone – just by making some minor adjustments.
If you are going to have a ‘shot’ of tequila, it only makes sense to have it from a bottle shaped like a handgun, am I right?
And while you’re drinking from weapon-shaped bottles, why stop at a
handgun? This amazing Kalashnikov gun-shaped vodka comes with its very
own case to enhance the illusion – but sadly, only 13,000 bottles were
ever manufactured for sale only in Russia and export to Australia only.
Everyone might not agree, but we had to bring in the good Old Monk in
this list. He might not be as sleek or creative as some of the others –
but it’s always nice to have a familiar face. And more so, because this
one is probably something that is within all of our capacity to
collect!
Imagine how cool this one would look in your cabinet among the other
bottles? And it’s not just the cool crystal head that’s awesome – the
vodka in it is supposed to be one of the purest ones out there, having
been distilled four times through Herkimer diamonds.
There were only five of these made – immaculate crystal bottles with caps embedded with diamonds
and jewels worth $200,000 each. The special jewel-shaped bottles of
this world-famous gin were then shipped to New York, London, Dubai,
Sydney and Singapore to be sold.
We are not sure what the inspiration behind the shape of this
Armenian brandy brand is. Whatever it might be, it probably makes for a
great practical joke of a gift to friends. Oh, and guess what – this
bottle has been described by its makers to be hand ‘blown’!
